i got the pro5 from mac last night. leo brought the v-700, which he is selling for 5k, to school this morning. i compared the v-700 to the pro5.
V-700 the v-700 looks good. it lacks volume in general but that can be boosted up anyway. it lacks bass too. it fits well. the earcups rotate and can be folded. its practically movable to any position. cancellation isnt that good. i can still hear the person talking.
ATH-PRO5 the pro5 is black. not too sexy nor attractive. cancellation is good. i cant hear anything other than the song playing through the headphones. the fit's kinda tight. bass is good. volume is good. the earcups dosent swivel around though but i dont need swiveling earcups so that alright.
a lot say that the Sony MDR V-700 is great. well, i don't think so. try them out for yourselves.
i love my sonys, it has great bass response. but its really heavy on ur neck... but the audio technicas are great. very comfy, wont break easily.. loved the audio technicas as well.. but I LOVE MY NEW TECHNICS RPDJ 1200's more.. hehe :) sonys are for back up now...
by the way.. most djs that have tried my audio technicas are buying their own pair.. ganda tlga kse eh... and the guy that i bought my technics from.. has his own pair of audio technicas din.. when i have spare dough.. im gonna buy them again... nothing like having different headphones.. change them like you change your clothes :) after that its sennheiser hd25 for me
